Random shots of Auckland, people, etc.

That perfect WEDDING DRESS

Big thanks to my ever-patient study partners, Adele and Athena, for helping me find the dress. Finding one involved scheduling, driving, map navigating, getting into a dress (getting out of it lol), photo shooting and, of course, BARGAINING! The Winner is Dress #5

What time is it? It's PARTY time!

Our end-of-semester PARTY was held at the Mexican Cafe. The staff were overwhelmed by the number of medical students that ve crowded the little place... There was a large turnover of Tequila shots to wash away all the learned material of Semester 1 and the horrid exam experience!

The Ball/ Masquerade was a lot fun. It was on a floating dock; there was on open bar and good food; and everyone had to wear a mask.

Going Whaling, i.e. Whale watching!

One of the best Birthday presents I've ever received - sailing out to watch dolphins and whales in NEW ZEALAND!!! Holy Barnacles! Whales were a little shy to show themselves but dolphins were ahead of the boat competing with it and with one another! So much fun!

In the background, you can see Rangitoto volcano, which was successfully conquered in 3 hrs by me, Chris and Joy-Anne (Chris' sister). It was quite hot, but I can only imagine how hot it gets in summer when the heat is absorbed by the black lava...

Car trip to Coromandel, NZ

Beatiful peninsula with wild beaches, covered with white sand, and VERY curvy roads!!!

One set of exams over, another is on its' way!

Mr. Loftus (my Grade 12 Physics teacher at Wexford C.I.) used to say:" Time flies when you are having fun!" - he was talking about physics of course! ....And every time I try to quote him, smth different comes out like: " Time is fun having flies!" LOL
Time definitely flies on this side of the hemisphere; I am 2 month away from finishing my Year 2 of Medicine! I decided to update the blogger in response to numerous requests. I ve also added Chris Kelly's link on the right - http://chriskelly-ckpost.blogspot.com/
Enjoy :) (with or without flies! lol)

Finally an update from the Kiwiland

It's been almost 9 months since the last time I wrote anything. Lately medicine is, unfortunately, all I have in my mind 24/7 literally (incl. dreams where I slip-and-slide on cadaver's fluid in the dissecting lab or get my eyeballs scooped out by one of my study partners). Despite the many challenges/adventures in the past, I have to admit the last 4 months have been the hardest. At times I felt like there was a little coo-coo bird coming out of my temple.
June 20 th is the day that makes me grin so hard that my facial muscles hurt; I am counting the days when I won't be alone anymore.
I've never meant this blog to be a diary anyways; it might change your perspective of what you see in my photographs ...see what you want to see. However, for the curious minds, you can check a new blog called 3chicksinthecorner (3 CINTC), created by my girlfriends/study partners.
